Good value but beware of data limits and support delays
So I switched to giffgaff to cut down my phone bill and to try their flexible plans. Initially, it felt great not to be tied down by a contract and the rates are definitely cheaper than my old provider. However, I did hit my data limit quicker than I expected since the roll-over data only lasts a month, which was a bit disappointing. Also, I contacted support twice for help with a billing error, and it took a couple days each time to get a response via email, which was slower than I hoped. The app’s interface could be a bit more user-friendly too, especially when checking detailed usage stats. Still, compared to big networks, giffgaff offers decent value if you keep an eye on your data use.

Good overall but data speeds can be patchy
My experience with giffgaff has been mostly positive. I like the affordable monthly plans without commitment. Setting up the SIM was easy, and the app lets me track my usage perfectly. Data speeds are usually fine in central Birmingham but slow down noticeably during evenings or in crowded places like football games, which can be annoying when trying to stream or video call. Still, for the price I’m paying it’s not a dealbreaker.
