App feature needs improvement
I like giffgaff’s pricing and the no-contract deal but the app crashes sometimes when I try to top up, which bugs me.

I got giffgaff because I wanted a no-contract plan and low monthly fees, which they deliver well. Calls and texts are clear and reliable, but the data connectivity in some Glasgow neighborhoods is hit or miss. That’s been my only real gripe so far.

Calls keep dropping, really frustrating experience.

I had to wait ages for a reply in their chat support which was annoying. The network itself is okay and I get decent coverage, but when I had billing questions it took too long to get answers. I’d expect faster help for a mobile provider.

I’ve used giffgaff for about a year now, switching from a major network to save some cash. The SIM activation process was super quick and my monthly bills are way lower. However, I’ve had a couple of issues with call drops in more remote parts of Leeds, which can be frustrating when I’m trying to make important calls. Also, I reached out to customer support twice about billing confusion and while they eventually sorted it out, the wait and back and forth emails took longer than I expected. The lack of in-store support sometimes makes it harder for me when I prefer face-to-face help.

Data speeds are hit or miss depending on location. Sometimes browsing is smooth, other times pages load slowly which is annoying. Calls usually connect fine but I had a couple of dropped calls last month. Support reps seem helpful but couldn't resolve all issues. I like the no-contract aspect but the inconsistency bugs me a bit.

App crashes almost daily and support takes forever to respond.
