I tried to rent a car last weekend but the app kept glitching when I tried to unlock the vehicle, which was pretty frustrating. Ended up calling support and they helped but it took forever. The car itself was fine once I got in, clean and decent fuel level. Planning to try again but wish the tech was more reliable.

I booked a car for a weekend getaway but things did not go as planned. When I arrived, the app refused to unlock the vehicle several times, and I had to reboot my phone multiple times before it finally worked. Then the GPS info showed the wrong address for the car, which made me scramble. The owner wasn’t very responsive either, which was annoying. The car itself was fine and clean, but the tech issues really put a damper on my trip. Hopefully they improve the app because the concept is great.

I reserved a car for an afternoon trip but due to some issues I had to cancel just 3 hours before pickup. Getaround’s cancellation policy only gave me a partial refund, which felt unfair since I let them know early. Also, the car wasn’t as clean as described, and the owner was slow to respond to my messages. Would’ve expected better communication and more flexible terms for cancellations.
