I’ve used Wise for about six months now and like that I can hold multiple currencies in one account. Sending money abroad is pretty straightforward and cheaper than banks. Sometimes it takes longer to deliver money on weekends which can be annoying though. Support is generally helpful when I reach out though.

But I did have one transfer stuck in limbo for almost two days without explanation which was frustrating. Support got back to me after I chased but I wish they’d be more proactive with notifications. Still, the overall experience has been positive enough to keep using them.

However, I’ve had a couple of transactions unexpectedly held for verification checks which delayed payments by a couple of days. It’s understandable given compliance rules, but Wise could do better at providing updates during these holds. Other than that, the interface is user-friendly and transfers usually clear quickly, so I’d say it’s a solid option for cross-border payments but expect some bumps occasionally.
