Detailed and super convenient platform
I had a bit of a challenge finding a pet-friendly apartment last fall, and Apartment List helped by letting me filter specifically for that amenity. The map feature showed me good school districts nearby which was a bonus since I have kids. I contacted a few landlords through their platform and the responses came pretty fast, no annoying back and forth. Also appreciated the estimated commute times displayed on listings, made my daily travel planning much easier.

Mostly solid, one hiccup
Liked the way they show neighborhood info alongside listings, that saved me a lot of trips. However, one apartment was already rented out but still showed available for days, which was kinda frustrating. Otherwise decent search experience.

Really helpful for my move
I used Apartment List when relocating to Brooklyn last summer. The filtering options made it easy to find places with in-unit laundry which was a must for me. Support answered my questions quickly too.

Helpful for my first big move but some quirks
I started using Apartment List about six months before moving to Miami. The ability to mark favorites and track messages with landlords helped me stay organized. I also liked their neighborhood info which included safety scores and nearby grocery stores. One annoying thing though was that occasionally the chat tool glitched and messages didn’t send properly, so I had to call agents directly. Still, it saved me tons of time compared to searching each complex’s site individually.

Mixed feelings about listings
The site has a huge database but some listings were outdated, wasted time on a few places that were already rented. Also, the photos quality varies a lot which made it hard to trust what I was seeing. On the plus side, the neighborhood insights were helpful and the app is pretty smooth.
