Good but slow customer chat

The coverage is pretty full, and the premiums aren’t too bad. My only gripe is with the chat support which sometimes takes forever to respond. Otherwise, a reliable option for health insurance.

Reliable Medicare options

I switched to Aetna's Medicare plan this year and I’m really happy with the extra vision coverage included. The agent, Sarah, answered all my questions thoroughly, which made signing up easier than I expected. So far, no issues with claims either.

Good coverage, minor hiccups with billing

I've been with Aetna for about a year now through my employer’s group plan and overall it's been a positive experience. I like that they offer full vision and dental along with health, which makes managing my benefits easier. One time my bill got mixed up and I was charged twice, but their support fixed it within a couple of days without hassle. The network of providers in my area is pretty extensive, so scheduling appointments is never a problem.

Excellent individual plans and quick responses

I recently bought an individual health plan from Aetna and it’s been great so far. The enrollment process was straightforward, and I was impressed by how quickly customer service answered my questions about prescription coverage. Having dental and vision bundled saved me a lot of hassle and money in the long run.

Very helpful for family plans

I added my whole family to Aetna’s insurance and it’s been really convenient managing all our appointments and claims in one place. The pediatric dental coverage especially came in handy for my kids. Support reps are friendly and fast.

Aetna made a big difference after my surgery

Last year I had knee surgery and was worried about how much it would cost, but Aetna’s coverage made it far more manageable. The claims process was clear, and I liked that their portal showed what I owed instantly. Plus, their telehealth service saved me a couple of trips to the doctor’s office, especially during recovery. Definitely worth recommending for anyone needing solid health coverage.

Mixed feelings about claims process

I signed up for an individual health plan with Aetna last year and was mostly happy with the coverage options and premiums. However, when I had to submit a claim for a specialist visit, the process was more complicated than I expected. It took over a month to get approval and I had to follow up multiple times with customer service because some documents were lost. On the plus side, once everything was sorted, the reimbursement was accurate, but the delays were frustrating especially since I had to pay out of pocket initially.

Great dental coverage

I got Aetna’s dental plan through my employer and it’s been a lifesaver for my frequent cleanings and a couple fillings. Claims get processed quickly and the app lets me track them easily. Wish I’d gotten dental insurance sooner!

Smooth claims and service

I had to file a claim last month for a minor surgery and everything went surprisingly smooth. The online portal was easy to use, and I appreciated the fast updates from their support team. Definitely helps when you're stressed about health stuff.
