Convenient but could improve notifications
I’ve had Varo for about a year now and it’s mostly great. The early paycheck access helps me avoid overdrafts. Transferring money is straightforward and the app design is clean. However, sometimes I miss notifications for deposits or payments, which can be inconvenient if I’m waiting on something important. Customer service was quick to help when I asked though.

Decent digital bank with minor flaws
I switched from a traditional bank because I wanted to avoid fees and branches. Varo delivers on fee-free transactions and early paycheck deposits, which fit my lifestyle well. The mobile app is mostly user-friendly, though it could use some improvements in budgeting features and better real-time notifications. Occasionally the app logs me out unexpectedly, which is annoying when I’m in the middle of something. Still, I’m happy overall and plan to keep using Varo for everyday banking.

Good but customer service needs work
I’ve been with Varo for close to a year now. The early direct deposit feature is great and really helped me when switching jobs. The app itself runs smoothly most days, and I like the automatic savings tools they offer. But once I had an issue with my account being frozen after a suspicious login, and getting support was a hassle. It took almost two days to get it resolved, which was stressful. I think their customer support still needs some improvement to match the convenience they advertise.

Great banking without branches
I wanted a bank that I could fully manage from my phone, and Varo really nails that. No fees on my checking account and the savings interest is decent as well. Plus, I haven’t had any issues with security or freezes on my account, which is reassuring.
