I was nervous applying because I have barely any credit history. Upstart took into account my education and job stability which really helped me get the loan. The entire thing took about a week from application to funds arriving in my bank. One downside was that I wasn’t fully prepared for the auto-debit withdrawals which started earlier than I expected. Still, it gave me a shot when other lenders said no.

I liked how quickly the loan was processed and the platform itself works well on mobile. However, I wasn’t super happy about the extra fees that popped up during the application. They weren’t very obvious at first, so that caught me off guard. Customer support answered my calls but didn’t really offer much help with lowering costs.
