Overall I like Splice for cloud storage and collaboration, but syncing projects can take a long time. The plugin rentals are good but prices are sometimes high. Support is responsive though which is a plus.

I started using Splice about six months ago after struggling with scattered samples and lost projects. The platform's cloud backup saved me multiple times when my laptop unexpectedly shut down mid-mix. What I really love is their plugin rental system; it allowed me to experiment with expensive synths at a fraction of the price. The collaboration tools make it super easy to work with remote artists, and the huge library of samples keeps my tracks fresh. I did experience some syncing delays once or twice but their support was quick to help fix it, so I’ve mostly stayed positive.

Splice has been part of my workflow for almost a year now. Their project backup saved me once when my DAW crashed unexpectedly, thankfully. However, sometimes the sample previews lag, which disrupts the creative flow. Also, the subscription pricing feels a bit steep if you want access to premium plugins. Despite that, the sheer depth of the sample library and remix packs keeps me coming back every week.

Love the curated sample packs and the ability to rent plugins without full purchase. There are occasional delays in syncing projects which can be frustrating when working on a deadline. The community remixes inspire me daily though, definitely worth it for that.
