Good platform but some listings are outdated
I found several pets I wanted to inquire about but by the time I contacted the shelters, the pets were already adopted. It would be great if Petfinder updated their listings more often to avoid that disappointment. Aside from that, the database is quite extensive and easy to use. I appreciated the adoption tips and how they suggest responsible pet ownership. Some shelters have more detailed info than others though, which was a bit inconsistent.

Great selection but a bit overwhelming
Petfinder has tons of pets available which is awesome, but sometimes the filters don’t narrow things down enough. Took me a bit to find smaller dogs since I only wanted one suitable for apartment living. Customer support helped clarify some adoption rules which was handy.

Good selection, smoother process needed
I spent a couple weeks browsing on Petfinder looking for the right cat for my apartment. The site has tons of listings from nearby shelters, which was awesome, but some pet profiles had outdated info so I ended up calling shelters directly. Once I found a cat, the adoption process was straightforward and the shelter staff was friendly. Would appreciate more frequent updates on available animals though.

Really helped me adopt my cat after months of searching
