Decent but inconsistent search results

I used iStock last month for a client’s website redesign and while the photos themselves were high quality, the search engine gave me a bunch of unrelated images which slowed me down a lot. The subscription model makes sense for frequent users but I felt locked in since I only needed a handful of photos. Support was slow to reply which was frustrating. Not sure if I’d renew soon without some improvements.

Mostly good, small hiccup

I like the huge variety here and the licensing is clear enough. Download speed was a bit slow once, but support fixed it quickly. great for my blog images.

Not bad but could be better

The image resolution is perfect but their pricing is kinda steep for freelancers like me. Also, their mobile site is buggy, keeps crashing when I try to preview photos. The whole interface feels a bit dated honestly.

Huge collection, fast downloads

iStock has become my go-to when I need professional images for marketing campaigns. The licensing options fit my small business budget well. I especially appreciate how quickly their platform delivers files, even in bulk. Once I needed a custom illustration and support guided me through the process smoothly. Definitely a reliable resource for any creative work.

Good but some frustrating limits

I like iStock for their diverse photos and the ability to get extended licenses when my projects need it. Recently, I tried to download a large batch for a client but hit a daily limit I didn’t expect, which slowed me down. The interface could be more intuitive when managing image credits in the account dashboard. On the bright side, delivery is fast and the images always match descriptions well.

Reliable for professional use

I use iStock for my freelance videography business and it’s been solid. The vast library of royalty-free clips makes it really easy to find what I need without worrying about copyright. Last week I downloaded footage for a commercial spot and the quality was spot on. The licensing is clear which helps me avoid any legal headaches. Definitely worth it for professionals who need legit visuals.

Good variety but support needs work

iStock has a huge library which is perfect when I’m hunting for specific stock photos or video clips for client campaigns. The search filters help narrow down options quickly, but I hit a snag when I had to clarify licensing terms with customer support. It took a couple of back-and-forth chats and a day to get a clear answer, which set back my project timeline. Still, the quality and diversity of content keep me coming back even if the support isn’t the fastest.

Consistent quality and service

I’ve been purchasing stock images from iStock for my graphic design projects for over two years now. The quality is consistently top-notch and I rarely encounter duplicate content elsewhere. They recently added more video clips which has been a huge bonus for my presentations. The website is easy to navigate, though sometimes the pricing tiers confuse me a bit. Still, customer support is helpful and responsive.

Mostly satisfied with image selection

I’ve been using iStock for a few months now, mostly for marketing materials. The image quality is great and they have a solid range of categories. However, sometimes the pricing tiers get a bit confusing when choosing the right license for a project.

Big library but search could improve

I rely on iStock for my marketing agency’s campaigns, and their collection is huge which is awesome. However, searching for very specific visual styles is a pain because the filters aren’t super precise. Sometimes I end up scrolling way too much. The pricing plans are fair, and licensing is straightforward. It’d be perfect if the search was tighter though, saves me loads of time.

Solid platform, minor glitches

Generally happy with the image variety and download quality on iStock. Sometimes the search suggestions don’t quite match what I type, which is annoying but not a dealbreaker. The pricing is competitive compared to others I’ve used. Would love to see an easier bulk download option for frequent users though.

Mixed experience with subscriptions

Been using iStock for about a year now, mostly for client projects. The image quality is solid, but sometimes I find the monthly subscription tricky because I don’t always use all downloads and they don't roll over. Also, the search engine sometimes throws irrelevant results, which wastes my time. I wish they’d improve the filtering options, that would make finding the right stock photos faster. Still, they have some unique collections that I haven’t found elsewhere.
