Guru has a decent selection of freelancers and the bidding process is straightforward. I ran into a few bugs when uploading project files, which was annoying. Also, mobile app could be improved. Still, the escrow system feels secure and trustworthy.

Frustrated with slow verification and lost messages
Signed up to hire a content writer and my account verification took almost two weeks with no clear updates. Meanwhile, some freelancer messages disappeared from my inbox which really complicated things. Client support was slow to reply and didn’t provide much help. Ended up losing a potential hire and wasted a lot of time. Definitely not the experience I expected.

Mixed feelings about interface and freelancers
I found some talented freelancers here but navigating the website was a bit clunky, especially when managing multiple projects. The proposal filtering tools could be better. Sometimes the communication tools lagged which frustrated both me and the freelancers. On the plus side, payment security was solid and the contracts were clear. Would use again but with some reservations.

Good but needs better support response
I like posting jobs and reviewing proposals here since many freelancers have solid profiles. The interface is mostly user-friendly too. However, I wish their customer support was faster to respond; I waited a couple of days for help with a payment question. Not a dealbreaker though.

Good platform but sometimes pricey
I’ve hired several freelancers for small projects and liked the transparent feedback system. The only downside is that service fees can add up, especially when you have multiple short gigs. I wish there were more budget-friendly options but otherwise it’s been a decent experience.
