Reliable and Fast External Drive

I bought the Western Digital My Passport external drive last month and it's been a big deal for backing up my work files. The transfer speeds are impressive and the drive is surprisingly lightweight for its capacity. Plus, the WD Discovery software made setting up backups super easy, which really saved me time.

Excellent performance and quiet

Just upgraded to a WD Black NVMe SSD and wow, the difference is night and day. My laptop boots way faster and apps open instantly. I was also surprised how quiet the drive is under load, way better than my previous SSD. Setup was straightforward and the included cloning software helped a lot. Very happy with this purchase.

Good drive but slow support

Bought a My Passport SSD for work projects, and the drive itself is pretty fast and reliable. However, I had some trouble registering the product on their site and customer support was kinda slow to get back to me, took nearly three days. The drive’s build quality is nice, feels solid and compact. Would recommend but hope support improves soon.

Good but occasional glitches

My WD Elements external drive has performed well most of the time but I’ve noticed rare glitches where the drive disconnects randomly. It usually fixes itself after a reconnect but can be annoying mid-transfer. Otherwise, the USB connectivity is stable and transfer speeds meet my expectations. Hopefully a firmware update will fix this soon.

Pretty solid, but noisy

The external drive I got from Western Digital works well for my backups, and the storage capacity is exactly as promised. My only gripe is the noise when the disk spins up; it’s louder than I expected for a desktop setup. Still, data transfer speeds are decent for the price I paid.

Perfect for backup and everyday use

I bought a Western Digital Elements external hard drive about a year ago to store all my family photos and videos. It has been rock solid since day one. I was surprised by the simple plug-and-play setup with no complicated drivers needed. The transfer speed is decent enough for large files and I’ve never had any data loss or corruption. It fits nicely on my desk and the plastic casing seems durable enough to handle occasional moves between home and office. Definitely a reliable choice if you want hassle-free storage.

Reliable storage, great speed

I use a Western Digital Black HDD for my gaming setup and it’s been flawless so far. Load times are noticeably quicker compared to my older drives, and no issues with overheating. The software dashboard is simple and helps me keep an eye on drive health. Definitely worth the price.

Huge capacity, great for photographers

I’m a freelance photographer and rely heavily on Western Digital’s My Book Duo. The RAID setup gives me peace of mind with backups and the massive 16TB space means I never worry about running out of room. Transferring large RAW files is quick thanks to the USB 3.1 ports. Their customer support helped me troubleshoot a minor connectivity issue as well, which was appreciated. Overall a great investment for creative pros like me.
