I’ve been relying on Mathway for about six months now, especially for statistics and algebra help. It’s pretty handy to just snap a photo of a handwritten problem and get instant solutions with detailed steps. However, I noticed that sometimes the solutions to probability questions were not entirely accurate or the explanations left me more confused. Customer service responded after a couple of days but didn’t offer a full fix. Despite that, it’s a great backup tool when textbooks or teachers aren’t immediately available and overall does a solid job simplifying complex problems.

I started using Mathway last fall for my college calculus class. At first I was skeptical but it really helped me check my work and understand the steps rather than just giving answers. Last month I hit a snag with a differential equation and their chat support actually walked me through the logic behind the steps in under 15 minutes. The only downside is that the free version limits the number of problems per day which got frustrating when cramming for exams, but the subscription is reasonably priced and I got good bang for my buck.
