I've invested in a few projects over the past year. The platform itself works fine and the returns have matched expectations. My main gripe is that when issues arise with borrowers, Groundfloor's communication is pretty slow. I had to follow up multiple times regarding a delayed payment, which isn’t ideal when you want to stay informed about your investments. If they improve communication, this would be near perfect.

I came to Groundfloor wanting a way into real estate without needing a lot of cash or a real estate license. The platform delivered on that front with a $10 minimum investment which is awesome. I did have a hiccup though when one loan was delayed and the borrower had some paperwork issues, so my expected return date got pushed back a couple months. Customer service was responsive and explained the situation, but I did feel a bit uneasy waiting. Other than that, the user interface is pretty intuitive and I like seeing all my investments on one page. I’ll keep investing but hope they tighten up the loan vetting process a bit.

I like how accessible the investments are here, and the platform gives a nice variety of projects. However, the payout process took longer than I expected on my last loan, which was a bit frustrating. Still, overall a decent experience.
