Great for experienced traders, tricky for newbies
Started with BitMEX last year after trying a few other exchanges and I like the advanced tools they offer. The use up to 100x is exciting but also risky if you’re not careful. I remember once I got liquidated faster than expected because I didn’t fully understand the margin rules, lesson learned! Customer support eventually helped clarify things but it took a bit longer than I hoped. solid for seasoned traders but beginners should proceed cautiously and maybe test with smaller amounts first.
Decent but customer support lags
BitMEX has solid liquidity and options but their live chat often takes ages to respond. Also wish they had clearer info about margin calls in the app.
Unstable app and confusing fee structure
I’ve faced crashes on the app during peak hours which cost me potential trades. Also the fee schedule isn’t very clear upfront, I got surprised by withdrawal fees. Support was helpful but slow to respond in those moments. For a platform focusing on derivatives, better stability is key.
Mixed feelings on order execution
The platform offers a great range of derivatives but sometimes I notice slippage on larger orders. Customer service was decent but their chat support took longer than expected to respond. Could improve on transparency around fees during volatile market hours.
